| "I can honestly say that in the weeks that I have
been on the programme I have not been hungry once." |
|
| I have now finished the 12 weeks, but definitely not finished losing
weight and waist. I have lost a fantastic 23lbs and 5 inches from my waist.
This week I have done two amazing things, firstly I bought a pair of 38"
trousers for the first time in decades! Secondly I bought a new coat, and for
the first time in my adult life it wasn't extra large, in fact it was medium! I
genuinely feel great in myself and because I do more walking now than I have
ever done (and enjoy it by the way). I feel much fitter. |
| People who I have not
seen for a while are really impressd by my flatter stomach and my wife is
delighted with what I have achieved. Here is a bit about me, my weight and my
time on fatmanslim: At school (yes I can just about remember school) I played rugby, football and
cricket. |
| In fact I did a bit too much sport at the expense of the other reason
we go to school! Having been an extremely fit teenager I started playing less
sport in my twenties and had to give up the rugby before I got to thirty. |
| Gradually in my twenties I put on weight and since then I have remained
overweight. Despite so many attempts to diet that I have lost count, I have not
managed to lose enough weight to keep me motivated. I still kept quite fit doing
DIY, building extensions on the house and keeping the garden in order but in the
last few years I have started to really feel the extra weight that I am
carrying. Also a recent visit to hospital to see an elderly relative in the
coronary care unit made me think more seriously about losing a bit of weight. |
| I am not one of Dr Campbell's patients, but when I was asked through a
relative if I wanted to try this new programme I was interested. Particularly
because they stressed how fatmanslim was different from dieting and that I would
not be getting hungry and could still have a pint or two (they said nothing about me
featuring on the website at this stage!). It also appealed to me when Ian
stressed that I would select what changes to make and they would be gradual and
easy to bare. Anyway, by monitoring my food intake with fatmanslim I learned a
lot about when, where and why I was eating and I replaced some of my worst
habits with healthier ones. |
| I was personally happy with steady waist loss and so will just keep going on
as I am, building new changes from each week into my lifestyle. |
| I do have one serious complaint, the waist tape is bloody freezing on my skin
in a morning when I take my latest measurement! Come on FMS
when is that heated
waist tape being launched? Anyway, I recently went to my Grand-daughters
Christening and was able to button up a double-breasted suit that I hadn't been
able to wear for ages. |
