Who wrote fatmanslim?...

...I did! My name is Dr. Ian Campbell. I guess you want to know if I am qualified to advise you?
This is a very important question.
Here is a little bit about me, my background
and experience.
|
I was born in Scotland, a graduate of Glasgow University and I now live in
Nottingham where I am an NHS family doctor and Associate Specialist at the Overweight Clinic, University
Hospital, Nottingham. For many years I have specialised in helping patients lose weight.
I helped establish a national network of doctors, nurses and dietitians who work together
to improve the treatment of overweight patients. I have devised and run weight management training courses for fellow
health professionals both in the UK and internationally and I regularly work with the media, discussing weight
management issues on TV news shows, documentaries, chat show programmes and many radio shows.
My written work has focused on the need for more pro-active weight management by family doctors.
I have written for various medical journals and contributed chapters to two books on weight management.
My strong desire to see improvements in the level of support offered to overweight men led
to the creation and development of the fatmanslim programme. It is my wish to help
men make the small but important lifestyle changes that are needed to lose weight,
reduce waist size and improve health. I hope you join fatmanslim and wish you every success.
